Bishop Rickey Jones Moore, Sr. has been Pastor of the Sunrise Baptist Church for fifteen years. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from Bishop College in Dallas, TX. He received an Honorary Doctorate from Stenson College, Aiken, SC. He furthered his studies and earned a D.Div. at Inter-Baptist Theological Seminary in Shreveport, LA. – D.Div. Later he attended Word of Life Bible College in Marshall, Texas and earned his D. Min and Litt. D.

Bishop Moore was mentored by the late, great Dr. C.A.W Clark, Sr.. Bishop Moore was chosen by Dr. Clark to preach at his church and was sent to do revivals when Dr. Clark was ill.
Bishop Moore was voted the “Outstanding Preacher of 2010″ by the E.R.R.P Magazine and The Black Pastors, Clergy & Ministerial Group, Inc.
He was inducted into the Historical Black Journal which will be placed in the Library of Congress, Historical Black Colleges & Black Art Museums across America. A third generation Pastor, Bishop Moore is humble, loves the Lord & His People. He has been a Pastor for more than 30 years, and has preached in over 22 states. He has also preached in Mannheim & Heidelberg, Germany.
On June 28, 2013, the NACCMF held its Holy Convocation in Little Rock, Arkansas and then Bishop-Elect R. Jones Moore was consecrated as Bishop. He was the Noon-Day Speaker during the Convocation Services on , June 28, 2013. As Bishop, he will be overseer of Region One which encompasses seven states – Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Oklahoma. Region One is comprised of two hundred churches.
